I love Martin St. Louis like when you were talking to oshie and you told him “you took so many penaltie shots”
Great series!

Great all the way around Thanks for doing them!
Great, could be better

Something I’d be really interested in is hearing from the players about things not directly regarding the Stanley Cup. I would have loved to hear some conversation about TJ Oshie’s epic olympic shootout, maybe a bit more of a player introduction “X started their career in 19xx with this team...”
Left More to be Desired

This podcast leaves a lot more to be desired. You have Wayne Gretzky, the greatest player in NHL history, interviewing other great players and he can only come up with 10-15 minutes on content?? I’m not mad at the guests with two close friends, the most recent Cup champ and a recent HHOFer but no one with a “wow” factor. Wayne’s questions are very surface level and seem like he did 5 minutes of research before calling them. I understand the scope of the podcast is the guest’s Stanley Cup run but they could have dug much deeper in this conversation.
Clichés and Congratulations.

Just a lame podcast. The potential was great, it is just a let down. The Great One is not a great interviewer. It lacks anecdotes- that’s what we want. Stories! Tell a good story that we miss when we watch the games. I made it through 2 episodes. That is all I’m basing this on.

Thanks WAYNE for the interview with Mark Messier, my favorite NYR. The Captain delivered for us, and to hear you say he was your greatest teammate here on the podcast, really says something. All the best to you and the family.
Excellent

Disappointing - some suggestions
06/12/2019
I found this disappointing. I've been watching Wayne Gretzky since he was a rookie (I'm a few years older), so I am of course a great admirer. But this podcast could be way better than it is. Here we have Wayne Gretzky, widely considered to be the smartest guy who ever played. And because he's Wayne Gretzky, he can get anybody he wants to come and talk with him. So what does he talk about? Pretty much all the questions are of the "How did you feel" type. This is what you get from ignorant TV sports "journalists" when they interview players after a game. You don't need to know anything about hockey to ask this type of question. Wayne, why not use your tremendous knowledge, intelligence, and experience to ask some questions other people couldn't ask, and get some really interesting conversations going. You're never going to appeal to a mass audience with a podcast about hockey, so make it interesting for people who understand hockey. Get Ken Dryden on, for example. Ask him what situations or players were the toughest for him, and why. Ask him how goaltending has changed over the years. Get Bobby Orr on and ask him about the challenges of being an offensive defenseman. What special things does a team need to do with that kind of player to make sure all the positions stay covered? Etc. Anybody can ask him how it feels to win the Stanley Cup, and his answer is going to be pretty much the same as everyone else's too: feels great, makes you grateful to your parents for driving you to 6 a.m. hockey practice, etc. Please make this something only Wayne Gretzky can do.
