Vincent took his moment in the spotlight and aced it.

The yellow Labrador retriever is the military support dog for Captain Michael Caspers, and together they participated in a special pregame puck drop on military appreciation day before the Colorado Avalanche played the Arizona Coyotes at Pepsi Center on Saturday.

Caspers is a United States Army infantry officer who lost his right foot and lower leg while serving in Afghanistan. Vincent was assigned to Caspers through a collaboration between Canine Companions for Independence and Baylor Scott and White Health, a not-for-profit healthcare system based in Dallas. Vincent assists Caspers with daily living tasks when he is unable to wear his prosthetic leg.
Vincent took the puck in his mouth and dropped it between Coyotes captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Gabriel Landeskog of the Avalanche, who made sure to give Vincent some well deserved pets after dropping the puck.
