Turco drops puck in Stars' first 25th anniversary reunion night

The Dallas Stars rolled out the green carpet to celebrate Marty Turco on Saturday.

The Stars former goalie turned front-office member was honored as the first of their 25th anniversary reunion nights, and Turco dropped the puck ahead of their game against the Edmonton Oilers.

The Stars will have at least five more reunion days on the schedule this season as they celebrate the 25th anniversary of their move to Dallas. Turco has the most wins in franchise history (262), leading second-place Kari Lehtonen by 56, and backstopped Dallas to the Stanley Cup Playoffs in five of his nine seasons with the Stars between 2000-10.
"My style was no style," Turco told Fox Sports Southwest during the second intermission. "Making saves however I had to."
The team will also sell commemorative memorabilia for each reunion night, and the Stars unveiled the first such item, a Turco bobblehead.

Turco is the Stars director of corporate development and lives in the Dallas area. He reflected on the team's celebration of the silver anniversary of their move from Minnesota.
"It has been a long time," he said. "It's been marvelous for us and the fact that it is our 25th season, we have a [Stanley] Cup and have aspirations to be that much better, I think of the cool things we've done in the community and ... it just means a lot to us and to our fans. That to me is a well-rounded organization, 25 years strong, it's pretty cool."
