Lundqvist-WC-mask 12-31

Henrik Lundqvist continued the trend of honoring New York landmarks with his equipment.

The New York Rangers goalie revealed the mask he'll wear for the 2018 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic Citi Field against the Buffalo Sabres on Monday (1 p.m. ET; NBC, SN, TVA Sports), and it features images of New York's most famous sights such as the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building.

Lundqvist's mask was painted by his longtime mask artist Dave Gunnarsson, who used chrome technology for the first time for the Rangers goalie. They had been ironing out the mask's details since the summer, which include the Rangers former alternate Statue of Liberty logo as a background hologram and their Winter Classic logo on top.
